FAKA is more than a queer South African art duo founded by friends Desire Marea and Fela Gucci, it's a collective started in 2015 which introduced a new concept called SIYAKAKA FEMINISN. At first, Siyakaka was a response to the transmisogyny and the discrimination of feminized bodies in the gay community. Here's what Desire says about Siyakaka: 'There's no apology, we don't owe anybody an apology. We will do what we want, nobody will police our bodies'.
Lately FAKA worked with Versace, the duo was in charge of the soundtrack for the Spring/Summer 2019 fashion show.
